Tim Cassidy, principal of Senior Consulting, LLC and its affiliated companies as well as a co-founder of the non-profit Preventive Aging Centers, has been proactive in lobbying and other efforts to change public policy on behalf of residents of long-term care and senior housing facilities. Examples of these efforts are as follows:

• In the 1990s, Tim was part of multiple organizations and was on various committees that lobbied for improved reimbursement in nursing facilities in multiple states.
• In 2002-2003, Tim was a principal in a company that operated and managed a 281-bed Skilled Nursing Facility. Tim’s company had assumed operations of an extremely troubled facility and discovered multiple issues that went beyond the public record before assuming operations. Tim was blessed to have many around him who led an effort for public advocacy, as referenced in Patient and Caregiver Advocacy in California.

We believe firmly that there will be many benefits, challenges, and issues of substance to address as we move more and more into a digital world, including the growth of artificial intelligence.
