Doing for others has been a long-time mission of Senior Consulting’s founder, Tim Cassidy.  As a former operator of Skilled Care Facilities, including a 281-bed facility in northern California, Tim led a team that lobbied and litigated against the state of California Department of Health that resulted in substantial changes to public policy, as related in the leading chapter of Tim’s book Uniting Principles (Measured by Asking What Would Jesus Do?).

Tim has had a 30-year-plus passion for Lifelong Learning Programs and Intergenerational Programs that started with the founding of Preventive Aging Centers, Inc., a non-profit organized in 1993.  Its programs are extensive and can be organized on a low- to no-cost basis.

Senior Consulting, LLC helps support operators and owners nationwide in organizing many programs, including the Preschool and Senior Companion Program and senior mentoring programs.  Please see information on many other programs, including Free Online Senior Programs.

While Senior Consulting, LLC predominantly works in the development of market-rate projects, we often volunteer and work in affordable and moderate-income housing. Currently, Senior Consulting, LLC is a co-developer of a site that was originally entitled for Senior Living in a middle-income second-tier metro, with entitlements being modified to develop 200 units of moderate- and affordable-income apartments. This project will utilize 4% LIHTC bonds versus 9% bonds, with the latter requiring a bidding process, whereas the 4% bonds are typically available in all states once all due diligence boxes are checked.

Senior Consulting, LLC is currently considering sites in New Jersey and Florida for a similar model for senior housing as well as considering alternative models for seniors and residents of all ages. Our company is seeking the right partners that have experience with the relatively new Live Local Act in the State of Florida.
